PUB2000: Some Commercial Printing Tools Are Missing After You Convert a Publication to HTML (259402)

When you point to the Commercial Printing Tools command on the Tools menu in Microsoft Publisher 2000, the only commands available may be Graphics Manager and Fonts.
CAUSE
This issue can occur after you convert a file from a print publication to an electronic publication.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method to convert the electronic publication to a print publication.
Use the Wizard
If you used a wizard in Publisher 2000 to create the publication, use the following method to convert the publication to a print publication.
- If the wizard window is not visible in Publisher, click Show Wizard in the lower-left corner.
- In the wizard, click Convert to print publication.
- Click Brochure or Newsletter.
- Click Yes to save your current publication.
Manually Convert the Publication
If you did not use a wizard in Publisher 2000 to create the publication, use the following method to convert the publication to a print publication.
- Start a new instance of Publisher.
- Click Exit Catalog.
- On the taskbar, click the original publication to switch to it.
- On the Edit menu, click Select All.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy.
- On the taskbar, click the other instance of Publisher to switch to the new publication.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
- Insert a new page in the new publication.
- Repeat steps 3 through 8 until you paste all the objects that you want into the new publication.
- Close the original publication.
MORE INFORMATION
The two commands that are missing are designed for use in publications that you print with a commercial ink printer. When you convert your publication to an electronic publication, you no longer need these two commands.
