To set the pointer speed for the IntelliPoint mouse that is connected to your Macintosh computer:
  1. On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click IntelliPoint.
  2. Click the Pointer Options tab.
  3. Under Pointer Speed, click IntelliPoint pointer speed.
  4. Move the slider toward Slow or Fast to set the pointer speed for the IntelliPoint mouse.
  5. Close the IntelliPoint control panel.
If you click System Mouse Tracking under Pointer Speed, you must set the pointer speed in the Mouse control panel. To set the pointer speed in the Mouse control panel:
  1. On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click Mouse.
  2. Under Mouse Tracking, click the pointer speed that you want to use.

    The available options range from Slow to Fast, with an additional Very Slow option.
  3. Close the Mouse control panel.
