OL2000: Attendee Names Are Corrupted When You Exceed the Available Space in the All Attendees Box (259242)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Plan a Meeting on the Action menu, and then type all of the attendee names in the All Attendees box, the last attendee name that you type is corrupted and overwritten.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you exceed the available space in the table view, and the repaint mechanism repeats the active line (the end of the table view) twice. The line that is repeated is the Type attendee name here line.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft Office 2000 service release that contains this fix.
