XADM: Public Folder Permissions on Non-MAPI Folder Trees (259127)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q259127 SUMMARY
On the first public folder information store, the MAPI folder tree, you can assign rights to folders by using the client or Exchange System Manager. The roles that you can set on the public folders include: Owner, Publishing Editor, Editor, Publishing Author, Author, Non-Publishing Author, Reviewer, Contributor, and None.
On any other public folder information store, or non-MAPI folder trees, those roles are not displayed when you set permissions on folders by using Exchange System Manager. The permissions that are displayed are the same permissions that are displayed in Windows 2000.
The table in the "More Information" section of this article describes the permissions that are applied to each of those roles so that you can apply the permissions on those public folders to match the roles of the MAPI folders.
