SYMPTOMS

When you use Outlook Express, the Move to Folder command is not available on the shortcut menu when you right-click a newsgroup message. The Move to Folder command is available when you right-click a newsgroup message in the Find Message dialog box, but the command does not work.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

When you right-click a message, and then click Move to Folder, the message is moved to the folder that you specify and the original message is deleted from the server. However, you cannot move newsgroup messages or delete them from the server because you do not have the appropriate security permissions; the Move to Folder command does not work for newsgroup messages.
