ICW Screen for Modem Connection Is Hidden Behind Kiosk-Mode HTML Start Page (258988)

SYMPTOMS

During a Kiosk-mode signup, the Internet Connection Wizard (ICW) screen for creating a modem connection is hidden behind the HTML start page, and signup cannot continue.

The user who is running signup cannot tell if there is any problem with the connection because the Signup.htm file hides the ICW screen.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, have users press ALT+TAB to see the ICW screen, or create an ICW build instead of a Kiosk build because an ICW build does not fill the screen like a Kiosk build.

This behavior does not occur if Dial-Up Networking has been installed on the computer and the modem has been configured.
