SYMPTOMS

When you play Microsoft Baseball 2001, the game screen may be distorted and textures in the game may disappear. In addition, the computer may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if a video adapter based on the Chromatic Research Mpact 2 3DVD chip set is installed in your computer.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, disable 3D hardware acceleration in Baseball 2001:
  1. Start Baseball 2001.
  2. On the Home Plate screen, click Options.
  3. Click the Graphics tab.
  4. Under Mode, click Software.
  5. Click OK.
