Unable to Delete Username, Password, or Domain Information within a Dial-Up Connection (256568)

When you attempt to clear the information in the Authentication section on the Security tab of a dial-up connection, the information is removed but your changes are not saved.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, delete the existing connection and create a new connection. Make sure you do not type any unwanted information in the Authentication section.

When you remove information in the Authentication section (for example, the username, password, or domain information) and return to the Security tab, the changes are not saved. You can change this information and then save the settings, but you cannot delete the information and save the changes.
