SYMPTOMS
If you use Internet Explorer 5.5 to navigate to a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that is 2,083 characters or more in length, the Web page is not returned.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because Internet Explorer 5.5 cannot navigate to URLs that are 2,083 characters or more in length.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
