SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 to send an e-mail message that has Japanese characters in the subject field, the recipient may find that the characters are not displayed properly. However, Japanese characters in other fields are displayed properly.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
