- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q255373 SYMPTOMS
When you compose a new appointment in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Outlook Web Access (OWA) and add text to the description, a hard return (HRT) may be added to the end of the text block even if you do not press ENTER when you save the appointment. If you subsequently open and save the appointment, another HRT is added to the description. This behavior only occurs when you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x. It does not occur with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or Netscape Navigator.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. MORE INFORMATION
The Exchange 2000 version of OWA is optimized for use with Internet Explorer 5 and later.
