SYMPTOMS

When using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 as a Web client to log on to a computer running Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, you do not see an unread message count next to the folders in the Folders list. There is no indication that there are unread messages in the folders.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem is not seen in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x or other browsers that view down-level code.
