This article was previously published under Q250789 SYMPTOMS
When you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or 5.5 with several Internet sites as Favorites available for offline viewing, and you reduce the cache size and then subsequently work offline, some of the Favorites may be dimmed in the Favorites list. When you attempt to view one of the dimmed Favorites, you may receive the following error message:
The Web page you requested is not available offline. To view this page, click Connect.
This may occur when you are using a computer running Microsoft Windows 2000.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because some files were purged in order to achieve the reduced cache size.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
All of the Favorites are still available when you work in online mode.
