SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install Office, you may receive the following error message:
Installer terminated prematurely.
When you click OK, you receive the following error message:
The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if your computer is infected with the Win95.cih virus.

RESOLUTION

To remove the virus, obtain the latest version of an anti-virus program.
