SYMPTOMS

When you try to download the Microsoft IntelliPoint software for the Macintosh, you may receive the following error message:
Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded.

CAUSE

The security settings of your Web Browser may be set to High.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reduce the security settings of your Web browser. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start your Web Browser.
  2. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  3. Under Web Browser, click Security Zones.
  4. In the Zone box, click Internet zone.
  5. Under Internet zone, click Medium (more secure).
  6. Click OK.
After you complete these steps, download the IntelliPoint software for the Macintosh.
