To back up and restore the zone information:

Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
Go to the following location in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

NOTE: The above registry path is one key; it has been wrapped for readability.
Select the object called Zones, and then from the Registry menu, click Save Key.
To save the specific security settings in the Security Zones, select the key named ZoneMap, and from the Registry menu, click Save Key.
To merge the information back to the computer, either double-click the file that was saved from a previous registry save, or import the information using Registry Editor.
