Usage Analysis Import May Fail Importing Large Log Files (246193)

SYMPTOMS

The import module in Microsoft Site Server Analysis may fail when importing data from a large log file or when simultaneously importing a number of large log files.

NOTE: This problem was reproduced importing three 512 megabyte log files.

CAUSE

A memory allocation fails in Uas.exe.

RESOLUTION

Install Windows NT Service Pack 5 or later.

WORKAROUND

In the case of multiple log files, the log files can be imported individually.
