PRJ2000: Network Diagram Link Labels Not Drawn Correctly (245943)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, in the Network Diagram view, link labels may be located outside of the visible area of your computer screen, or on top of other link labels.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur when the following conditions are true:
  • You are viewing your tasks in the Network Diagram view.
  • You have multiple tasks with the same successor task.
  • You have selected the Show link labels link style option.
  • You have selected the Rectilinear link style.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, change the Link Style from Rectilinear to Straight. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Format menu, click Layout.
  2. Under Link style, click Straight.
  3. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
