SYMPTOMS

When you use a Microsoft IntelliMouse to control your movement in a game, the mouse buttons may not work as expected.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the game supports Apple Computer's InputSprocket technology.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, disable the IntelliPoint software in Control Panel for the game.

Mac OS X

  1. On the Apple menu, click System Preferences.
  2. Double-click Microsoft Mouse.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Locate, and then click to select the game where the IntelliPoint software does not work correctly, and then click Choose.
  5. Click to select the Disable IntelliPoint features for the selected application check box.

Earlier than Mac OS X

  1. On the Apple menu, click Control Panels.
  2. Double-click IntelliPoint.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Locate, and then click to select the game where the IntelliPoint software does not work correctly, and then click Choose.
  5. Click to select the Disable IntelliPoint features for the selected application check box.
