SYMPTOMS
If you start the Spooler service immediately after stopping it (for example, by typing
net stop spooler and then immediately typing
net start spooler), you may receive the following error message:
The Spooler service could not be started.
A system error has occurred.
System error 12 has occurred.
The access code is invalid.
RESOLUTION
Windows NT 4.0
