This article was previously published under Q242972 SYMPTOMS
After you install an English version of an Access run-time application, menu options for Internet Explorer are displayed in English.
CAUSE
The English version of the Access Run-Time installs an English version of Internet Explorer. When the run-time application is installed on a computer on which Internet Explorer components are installed, some original components are overwritten.
During the Access run-time installation, the following seven files are copied to the application computer and can potentially overwrite existing files:
- COMCAT.DLL
- ASYCFILT.DLL
- STDOLE2.TLB
- OLEPRO32.DLL
- OLEAUT32.DLL
- ODESTKIT.DLL
- MSVBVM60.DLL
RESOLUTION
If this problem has occurred, reinstall the localized version of Internet Explorer.
For future run-time applications, a new version of the Access Run-Time has been developed that gives you the option of not installing Internet Explorer 5.
