Flight Simulator 2000 and Combat Flight Simulator: Cannot Kill Engines by Turning Off the Fuel Tank Selector (242804)

When you play Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000, you may be unable to kill the engine(s) in your aircraft by switching the Fuel Tank Selector control to OFF.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Unlimited Fuel option is enabled.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method for your version of Flight Simulator.
Flight Simulator 2000- On the Flight Simulator 2000 startup screen, click Fly Now!
- On the Aircraft menu, click Realism Settings.
NOTE: If the menu bar is not visible, press the ALT key on the
keyboard.
- Click to clear the Unlimited fuel check box, and
then click the green check mark to return to the cockpit.
Combat Flight Simulator- On the Combat Flight Simulator startup screen, click Settings.
- On the Settings screen, click Realism
settings.
- Click to clear the Unlimited fuel check box, and
then click OK.
- Click OK.
