PRJ: Calendar Changes Not Saved If More Than 1,400 Exceptions (242665)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project 2000
- Microsoft Project 98 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q242665 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project, when you make changes to working times in a calendar, the changes are not saved, and you receive the following error message:
You entered too many vacations, holidays, and other schedule exceptions.
A calendar can have up to 1400 exceptions. Only the first 1400 will be used. Try removing some exceptions.
CAUSE
This error message occurs when your changes exceed the limit of 1,400 exceptions per calendar.
If you receive this error message, Microsoft Project will not save any of your calendar changes.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods:
- Reduce the number of changes that you make to the calendar at any given time.
- Verify that the status date is not set too far in the future. To check the status date, click Project Information on the Project menu.
