PRJ: Cannot Drag Rows to New Row (242643)

In a task, resource, or usage view of Microsoft Project, you cannot drag a task, resource, or assignment row to a new row location.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur when the Keep outline structure check box of the view that you are using is not selected in the Sort dialog box.
In Microsoft Project 2000, you also see this behavior if you have applied a group.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use the appropriate method for your situation.
Method 1: Keep Outline Structure Check Box Is Not Selected- On the Project menu, point to Sort, and then click Sort By.
- Click to select the Keep outline structure check box.
- In the Sort by list, click the field that you want to sort by. The default is ID.
- Click OK.
Method 2: A Group Is Applied (Microsoft Project 2000 Only)
On the Project menu, point to Group by, and then click No Group.
