SYMPTOMS

Terminal Server Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) clients may disconnect unexpectedly from Terminal Server over an ICA dial-up link.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Services Edition Service Pack 5.

This problem was observed under the following configuration:

Terminal Server 4.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4) on a multiple-processor x86 computer running MetaFrame 1.8. The ICA clients connect using asynchronous connections to a modem pool on a Digiboard on the Terminal Server computer itself.
