This article was previously published under Q241798 SUMMARY
Microsoft Outlook 97 and earlier clients such as Microsoft Exchange Client 5.0 can enroll in Advanced Security through the Microsoft Exchange 2000
Server Key Management Service (KMS). However, these older clients only work with V1 certificates, so it is necessary that KMS issues both V1 and V3 certificates which can be set on the KMS properties page.
