PI: Cannot Insert ClipArt from Office 2000 Program (241560)

SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to insert ClipArt from a Microsoft Office 2000 program, you may receive an error message stating that Microsoft Clip Gallery is not installed. You are then prompted to reinstall the Office program.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

  • When you installed Office 2000, you specified that Clip Gallery should be run from the Office CD-ROM (Run from CD).

  • You installed Office 2000 before you installed Picture It! 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reinstall the Office 2000 program in which you received the error message.

WORKAROUND

If the issue continues to occur:

  1. Start Clip Gallery.
  2. Start the Office program that you were using.
  3. Use a drag-and-drop operation to copy the ClipArt from Clip Gallery to the Office program.
