To install the products listed at the beginning of this article to run from the hard disk:
  1. Insert the program CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key as you insert the CD-ROM to prevent Setup from starting automatically.
  2. Double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop.
  3. Right-click the CD-ROM drive that contains the program CD-ROM, and then click Explore.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Select All.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
  6. Quit Windows Explorer.
  7. Double-click the icon of a hard disk with a minimum of 800 megabytes (MB) of free space for MapPoint 2000 or a minimum of 1100 MB of free space for Expedia Streets & Trips 2000.
  8. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Folder.
  9. Type a name for the new folder, and then press ENTER.
  10. Double-click the folder you created in steps 8-9.
  11. On the Edit menu, click Paste.

    If you are installing Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 to run from the hard disk:
    1. Eject the Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 Disc 1 CD-ROM, and then insert the Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 Disc 2 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key as you insert the CD-ROM to prevent Setup from starting automatically.
    2. Repeat steps 2-6 to copy the contents of the Expedia Streets & Trips 2000 Disc 2 CD-ROM.
    3. On the Edit menu in the folder you created in steps 8-9, click Paste. When you are prompted to overwrite files, click Yes to All.
  12. Double-click the Setup.exe file.
  13. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the program.
