Works 2000: Cannot Preview Multipage Document When You Click Preview in the Print Dialog Box (239999)

SYMPTOMS

When you are trying to preview a multipage Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor document, and you click the Preview button in the Print dialog box, and then click Next, you can only preview the first page. Microsoft Works 2000 does not scroll to the next page. Therefore, you cannot preview any subsequent pages of your multipage document.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, use any one of the following methods:

Method 1

  1. Open your multipage Works 2000 Word Processor document.
  2. Click the Print Preview button on the toolbar.
  3. Works 2000 displays the first page.
  4. Click the Next button on the toolbar of the preview window to preview the subsequent pages.

Method 2

  1. Open your multipage document.
  2. On the File menu, click Print Preview.
  3. Click the Next button on the toolbar of the preview window to preview the subsequent pages.

Method 3

  1. Open your multipage document.
  2. On the File menu, click Print.
  3. In the Print dialog box, click the Preview button.
  4. Use the scroll arrows in the preview window to preview the subsequent pages.

Method 4:

  1. Open your multipage document.
  2. On the File menu, click Print.
  3. In the Print dialog box, click the Preview button.
  4. Click the Multiple Pages button on the toolbar to preview multiple pages, and then use the scroll arrows in the preview window to preview the subsequent pages.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Works 2000.
