SYMPTOMS

When you run Microsoft Works 2000 Calendar on a computer that is configured to use multiple monitors, the View Reminder dialog box appears only on the primary monitor.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Works 2000 can only display dialog boxes on the primary monitor of a computer that is configured to use multiple monitors.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, set an audible warning when the View Reminder dialog box appears.

NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Sounds.
  3. In the Events box, click Reminder under Microsoft Works Calendar.
  4. In the Name box, click Browse to select the reminder sound that you want to use.
  5. Click OK.
