SYMPTOMS

When you print from Microsoft Works 2000 to a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIIP printer, you may receive the following error message:
Printer Error: MP LOAD, (paper type)

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if either of the following conditions is true:

  • The paper that is loaded in the selected paper tray on the printer is a different size than the paper size that you selected in the Page Setup dialog box.

  • The selected paper tray on the printer is empty.

RESOLUTION

To dismiss the error message, press the Continue button on the printer.
