  1. Open the Works database that you want to merge with the Publisher 2000 publication.
  2. On the File menu, click Save As.
  3. In the File name box, type a new name for the database.
  4. In the Save in box, click the folder in which you want to save the database, and then click Save.
  5. Click the name of the field that contains a formula to select the entire field.
  6. On the Record menu, click Delete Field.
  7. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click OK.
  8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 for each field that contains a formula.
  9. Merge the modified Works database with the Publisher 2000 publication.
