Works 2000 Calendar: Problem When You Change Date of Birthday or Anniversary (239160)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works Suite 2000
This article was previously published under Q239160 SYMPTOMS
If you change the date of a single occurrence of a recurring event (such
as a birthday or an anniversary) in the Works 2000 Calendar, only the date
of that single occurrence is changed.
You are not prompted to change the date of the entire series of recurring
events.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue:
- On the Edit menu in the Works 2000 Calendar,
click Birthdays.
You receive a dialog box containing the following message:
The Birthday for Name in your Address Book is
different than the date in your Calendar. Which date is correct?
Calendar date is correct: Calendar Date
Address Book date is correct: Address Book Date - Click the appropriate option, and then click Update
Now.
Works automatically updates the information in both the Works Calendar and the Windows Address Book, and you receive the following message:
Microsoft Works successfully updated the Calendar with
birthdays and anniversaries from your address book for the
following: number events.
NOTE: You can only use this procedure if you integrated the
Works 2000 Calendar with the Microsoft Windows Address Book before
you changed the date of the occurrence in Works Calendar.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Works 2000.
