MORE INFORMATION

  1. Ensure the computer is connected to the network drive where the product files are to be copied.
  2. In the Show box, click All Products to show all products available on the inserted CD-ROM, or click Products Updated Since to show only the products updated since the date you specify.
  3. In the Preferred Language box, select the language in which you want to list products.
  4. In the "Products on this CD-ROM" list box, click the product you want to copy to a network installation directory.
  5. The Network Install button is dimmed when the product highlighted does not support network installation.

    • The Copy to Network option transfers product files to a network server or shared directory for installation. Copy to Network allows you to specify the network server or directory location to transfer the product files. Once transferred, the product can then be installed on other computers. The Copy to Network button is dimmed when the product highlighted does not support copying files to a network server.
    • The Network Install option starts setup for the product and installs a shared copy directly to a network server or workstation. The Network Install button is dimmed when the product highlighted does not support copying files to a network server.
  6. In the Path box, type the path of the directory where you want to copy the product files or, if the directory already exists, you can choose the drive and directory using the Drives and Directories boxes.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Follow the instructions provided. Once the installation directory has been successfully created on your server, it may need to be initialized.
  9. Install the product once from the network server onto a computer that has read/write permissions set. During installation you will be prompted for a user name and organization.
    • Enter the user name and organization. This information is recorded on the server.
During subsequent installations, which can be from a read only source, you will be prompted for your name, usually with the organization filled in for you. Some products allow you to enter a different organization.
