When you are using the Local Users and Groups Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in and you choose a computer running Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98 as the target computer, the following error message is displayed:
Unable to access the computer Computer_Name. The error was: The RPC server is unavailable.
CAUSE
Windows 95/98 does not contain local users or groups, and cannot be administered.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
