This article was previously published under Q237220 SYMPTOMS
When you import a compatible scheme designed for another Microsoft SideWinder game controller, some programmed game actions may not be imported properly.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because game controller schemes are converted differently based on the design of the game controller from which you are converting the scheme. In some cases, not all of the scheme information can be imported from the original scheme due to design differences between the game controllers.
For example, when you import schemes designed for use with the Microsoft Game Pad Pro to use with the Microsoft SideWinder Dual Strike, the directional pad game actions may not be converted properly for use with the POV hat on the SideWinder Dual Strike. If you import a scheme designed for the Sidewinder Dual Strike for use with the SideWinder Game Pad Pro, the Dual Strike FX game actions are not imported due to the design of the game pad.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the settings on the Recorder and Settings tabs in the SideWinder Game Controller software to make any necessary changes to the programmed game actions.
