SYMPTOMS

When you press the Web/Home Internet Hot Key on the Microsoft Keyboard, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
IntelliType Pro Error

Cannot start an Internet browser. A supported Internet browser is not installed. Please see the Online User's Guide to install a supported browser.

CAUSE

You recieve this error message if one of the following conditions is true:
  • A supported Internet browser is not installed on the computer.
  • The supported Internet browser installed on the computer is not set to be the default browser.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use one or both of the following methods.

Install a supported Internet browser

Set the supported browser to be the default browser

Set the supported browser to be the default browser. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Start the supported Internet browser.
  2. When you are prompted to set the browser to be the default browser, click Yes.

    Note If you choose not to perform this check in the future and then click No, you are no longer prompted to set the browser to be the default browser.
