This article was previously published under Q236761 SYMPTOMS
After you apply a Grow Large on Click effect to text that has mixed font sizes and you play the page, you can click any part of the text, but only one of the font sizes actually grows.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Apply the Font Size as a Percentage- If you have already applied the behavior to the entire text selection, delete the grow effect.
- Select the first part of the text that has same font size.
- On the Format menu, click Font.
- In the Font dialog box, enter a number followed by a percent sign (%) in the Size box. The percentage is based on the default font size. For example, if you wanted something to be larger, you would enter 150%.
- Click the Grow/Shrink button, and then click Grow Large on Click.
Method 2: Apply Separate Grow Effects- If you have already applied the effect to the entire text selection, delete the grow effect.
- Select the first part of the text that has the same font size.
- Apply the grow effect to that part of the text.
- Select the next part of the text that has the same font size.
- Apply the same effect to that part of the text.
- Repeat this procedure as necessary for each section of the text that you want to apply a grow effect to.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
