VIZACT: Fade-In Applied to Image with Transparency Does Not Render (236641)

SYMPTOMS

If you apply a fade-in effect to an image that has transparency, the fade-in effect does not function properly.

The image is invisible for the duration of the fade effect, and the image appears when the fade effect ends.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

To work around this behavior, do not apply fade effects if you have applied transparency to an image.
