VIZACT: Images With Motion Paths Do Not Appear Correctly After Editing Page in Another Program (236637)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Vizact 2000

This article was previously published under Q236637

SYMPTOMS

If you have images that have a motion path applied and you edit the page in another program, such as FrontPage, the animated images may not appear correctly when you preview them in your Web browser.

CAUSE

In some cases, when documents that have been activated in Vizact are edited and modified in a different Office 2000 application, some of the activated content may stop functioning correctly.

MORE INFORMATION

To prevent this from occurring, use Vizact to edit the activated portions of the document. When it is necessary to edit these portions of the documents in the original Office 2000 application, keep changes to those portions of the document to a minimum.

To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. Open the page in Vizact.
  2. Select the Animated GIF image, and delete it.
  3. Reinsert the image.
  4. Select the image and reapply your motion path.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 as necessary for each animated image on the page that does not work properly in your Web browser.
  6. Save the Page.
