NTFS Deadlock During Writethrough Caching (236595)

When Writethrough is set for I/O requests to force cached data to disk and the IPX/SPX protocol is used, a deadlock may occur in NTFS.

WORKAROUND
For Microsoft Windows 95 or Microsoft Windows 98 clients running IPX/SPX, enable IPX/SPX NetBIOS.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition.
This problem was first corrected in Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 6 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 6.
