Netdiag Resource Kit Tool Is Not Cluster Aware (236328)

For example, the host name of the cluster server is SERVER1 and the IP address is 131.1.1.11. There are also two resource groups with IP addresses of 131.1.1.15 and 131.1.1.17 online to this server. The following error message is displayed in the Netdiag tool output:

To verify that you can ignore this error message, re-run the Netdiag test when no resource groups are online on the cluster server. Netdiag does not report DNS errors then. NOTE: In general NetDiag does not function usefully on a computer that has a network interface card (NIC) configured to have multiple IP addresses.
