SoundBlaster Pro 1 Cannot Record Sound from Microphone or Line In (233316)

No sound is recorded in Sound Recorder (Sndrec32.exe) from a microphone or the line in port on a Creative Labs SoundBlaster Pro 1 sound card.
CAUSE
Sound Recorder cannot record the incoming signal.
RESOLUTION
The SoundBlaster Pro 1 sound card is unable to record in Windows 2000. Install updated sound hardware to record in Windows 2000.
