When you are spell checking a message in Outlook Express 5, the Options button may be unavailable.
The Options button should allow you to choose options for spelling, grammar, and custom dictionaries. This functionality works when you are spell checking in Microsoft Word.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, set the spelling options before you compose a new message:
- In Outlook Express, click Options on the Tools menu.
- Click the Spelling tab.
- Select the options you want.
- Click Apply. The settings you specify are used by default when you spell check new messages.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
