Microsoft Call Manager May Not Detect a Microsoft Phone Base Station (232883)

When you upgrade your computer to Windows 98 Second Edition and you have Microsoft Call Manager installed, you may receive the following error message the first time your computer restarts during Windows Setup:
The Microsoft Call Manager software cannot communicate with the base station.
CAUSE
The Call Manager program is included when you install Microsoft Phone version 2.0. When your computer is restarted for the first time after Setup is finished, the Phone program attempts to gain access to the phone hardware before the operating system is available.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, restart your computer after Setup is finished, or let the computer remain idle for two to three minutes before you continue.
