SYMPTOMS

After you use the Add/Remove Programs tool to add a new component or tool that would normally appear on your list of Accessories on the Program menu, the new component may not be present.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you have renamed the Program Files\Accessories folder.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, copy any information in the renamed folder into the current Accessories folder. For information about how to copy a folder, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type copying, and then double-click the Copying folders topic.

MORE INFORMATION

When you add an additional component, the Accessories folder is re-created automatically. Any information in the renamed folder would then need to be copied into the new, current Accessories folder.
