No File Association Created When Saving an MGI PhotoSuite File (232783)

After you save a new file in MGI PhotoSuite version 8.0 by clicking Save As on the File menu, the new file may be displayed with a generic item. If you double-click the file, you may be prompted to select a program to open the file.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because PhotoSuite does not include the proper file extension for the file when you save it, and no file association is created for PhotoSuite files.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, contact MGI Software to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.
To work around this issue, you may be able to add the appropriate three-letter extension to the PhotoSuite file.
