Change the COM Port Number
To change the COM port number:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
- On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
- Double-click Ports (COM & LPT).
- Double-click the appropriate COM port.
- On the Port Settings tab, click Advanced.
- In the COM Port Number box, click the appropriate number (from 1 to 256).
- Click OK.
