The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel 2000

This article was previously published under Q232582

SYMPTOMS

All of the items in a data field in your PivotTable display the #N/A error.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • You choose any of the following settings in the Show data as list in the PivotTable Field dialog box:

    • % of Row
    • % Of Column
    • % of Total

    -and-

  • Your PivotTable is based on an Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) data source.

    -and-

  • The dimension that you added as a row field or a column field in your PivotTable does not contain the (All) member.

MORE INFORMATION

The All level is an optional component of a dimension in an OLAP cube. This level contains a single member, named (All), which summarizes the members of that dimension. Excel requires that the (All) member is present in the OLAP cube for dimensions that you want to summarize by % Of Row, % Of Column, or % Of Total in your PivotTable.
