OFF97: Lines in a Windows Metafile (WMF) Are Missing When Inserted into an Office Document (232551)

When you insert a Windows metafile (WMF) into a Microsoft Office document, such as a Microsoft PowerPoint 97 presentation, some of the lines in the metafile are missing.
RESOLUTION
Missing lines may appear if you place the metafile on a nonwhite background. For example, in PowerPoint, follow these steps:
- Open a new blank presentation.
- On the Format menu, click Background, and select a background color other than white. Click Apply.
- On the Insert menu, point to Picture and click From File. Select the WMF file, and click Insert.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
